Dan Milne
Director London
Dan is a Director and Lead Trainer for Narativ in the UK.
Dan’s love of exploring stories comes from his background as a theatre practitioner and he now combines co-running Narativ in London with creative projects in theatre, film and television. He has worked with the major subsidised theatre companies in London and regionally, and toured internationally with The Young Vic, The RSC and Complicité. He has produced one documentary and two feature films, The Longest Game, Never Here and Widow’s Walk.
In 2001 Dan helped to create the ground breaking AND internationally acclaimed storytelling theatre piece, Two Men Talking with Narativ Founders Paul Browde and Murray Nossel. This piece explores the infinite possibilities of two men in conversation on stage, sharing unscripted stories from their lives. It has been performed Off-Broadway, at the Edinburgh Festival and in London’s West End.
Dan contributed to the foundation of Narativ and in 2009 became Joint Director of Narativ London with his wife Jane Nash.

"A personal story doesn’t have to be beautifully crafted in order to affect us, it just has to be real. As an actor, coach, mother, partner and friend I understand that telling my own stories isn’t solely about me opening up but also about allowing others in. Sharing my unique discoveries, vulnerabilities, observations and most importantly perhaps, learning to own who I am. It’s this sense of ownership that I want others to feel. To be excited remembering themselves."
